Funny, I thought Oulder Hill Theatre was supposed to be a 'community theatre' - a civic amenity for the greater community.
Even funnier, I thought that one of the reasons we have been dnied a Community Arts Centre for the last thirty-odd years is that we have Oulder Hill thatre as a 'central', civic theatre.
Is the real truth that successive councils care not one jot for the inner needs and aspirations of the community?

The arts are easy targets for cuts. Also is the theatre not run for profit now by an outside company?
Either way, it's sad news.
