Town Centre incident

Post  Charly on Thu Mar 14, 2013 3:15 pm

The junction near to the new leisure centre/Aldi is cordoned off by police, there is also a road block at the top of John Street to prevent traffic going down, it seems to be closed up to the top of Molesworth Street.
Rumour has it a suspicious package has been found

Trams are no where near the location of this incident.

It's some radioactive stuff someone pinched from the back of a van in Bacup.

Tee hee. I nearly didn't write this as there was no obvious Rochdale connection at the time. I must be developing a newshound's nose.

I came across the road block as I made my way through town today, rumour was that a body had been taken out of the river! Shocked

I have just got home and my 15 yrs old grandson has posted the link on Facebook with the comment "trust them to have found it in Rochdale".....he's not wrong! Rolling Eyes

Is isn't really a good idea to keep radioactive stuff in the back of a van in Bacup.

Hey I don't know teamplayer2. You're a bit of a card when I weigh you up. A government plot -tch. Do they know where it is then? Beat me if they do.
