It was a lose lose situation by the look of it. Fight, lose and it costs £50k , or don't take the risk and it costs nothing apart from upsetting some angry nimbys.

They were falling over themselves telling the punters how they weren't going to be bullied by national government.

The ones that are against the building of houses at Broad Lane. How many bought the houses that were built near their before?
It does seem a shame if this planning was given the go. A nice bit of green belt there and not much left because of the other houses that were built near by.

I thought much of what used to be green belt was re (down) graded by the last government.
I'm sure it used to be.

I think in this case it was UP-graded to Protected Open Land.
