Sir Alex Ferguson: End of an era.
19th of May is his last game as manager.
Who will follow?
Who would feel up to it?
Any suggestions?

David Hill?
I bet the newly-relegated Harry Redknapp throws his hat in the ring though the Reds are way out of his league both literally and metaphorically.

* Councillor Colin Lambert from Rochdale ... unique arsenal of "lessons learnt."

Keith Hill is Dale's manager! Dave Flitcroft used to be his assistant.

Ok, I admit, DAVE Hill might not have got too great a reputation in football management but he was the best guitarist that Slade ever had.

Sacked in 12 months for not winning a trophy and finishing mid table.
Could have been worse. They could have had a manager from Manchester City.

You may be right TP, fans are not happy with him being given the job, apparently its on twitter calling for him to be sacked already!
Some say he got the job on the strength of his accent.

I heard he'd passed the penultimate "chewing gum" test.

I bet Sir Alex is looking forward to using his bus pass more and to receiving his OAP's £10 Xmas bonus.
He will find things very tough without his regular wage coming in. He might have to sell one or two of his racehorses.

He might come to a sticky end though.

I lived in Derby when Brian Clough left as manager, when l said the whole of Derby was in mourning l kid you not. People were walking around in tears. That lasted for weeks. Very strange.
