Healthier Together

Just received this, thought some might like to go;

Over the next few months we will be conducting a structured, facilitated process to select the best options to put forward to the public consultation for Healthier Together. The first step is to check that we are taking into account the perspectives and needs of the wide range of stakeholders affected by Healthier Together, and we plan to do this in two workshops (participants can attend on either the 27th Sep or the 4th Oct). We will then want some of these participants to return for a workshop on the 11th Oct, at which we will review and combine the input from the previous workshops.

No preparation is required for participants, we simply need them to bring their perspectives and to be willing to contribute, generally working in small groups.

With the above in mind I would like to extend an invitation to our stakeholders in the hope that you can attend one of the above sessions (27th Sept or 4th Oct).  I will reimburse all travel expenses or arrange taxis for those unable to travel via public transport,  and lunch/refreshments will provided on the day.  We will be able to confirm a venue later on today but it is anticipated that it will be held at Media City in Salford.

This is a fantastic opportunity for anyone wishing to get involved in the option development process and I am committed to ensuring that this is an open and fully inclusive process, as such there will be a range of stakeholders in attendance, ranging from councillors, clinical and non clinical staff, voluntary sector stakeholders etc.  If you would like any more information on the process please do not hesitate to get in touch.

Once I have confirmation of attendance a briefing pack will be issued.

She sure does like the word 'stakeholders' quite a lot...

It is quite a longwinded way of trying to say "We're going to be changing things through a programme called 'Healthier Together' and we're after feedback to see if we've overstepped the mark."
