Funny when I came on I counted nine users on line on this site.

Seems there are more potential forum users about, but, none at all in David Camerons' back yard.

Ah well you see. It's them there statistics. We've put traps down for them. But the little buggers can smell the annoyance from a mile away. The wife, she who must at least be listened to, has taken to clouting them with a big rolled up newspaper. God knows where she found a newspaper? Probably covering a stray immigrant in the cow shed. Who knows? Anyway - I digress. Asylum seekers - who came up with that stat and more to the point who is paying him for such drivel? Is it your money they's using, 'cause they rarely have their own!!!!

Having re-read a clip from this news article (by courtesy of one's big bro) the point which strikes me is : how many of these 'asylum seekers' are not 'asylum seekers' but economic immigrants masking as 'seekers from persecution'. Given that the distinction cannot be made without resorting to torture or exceedingly large monetary bribes the stats whilst on the surface look disturbing they may not, in the final analysis, be anything like substantiated in their present form?? The question then has to be - is Rochdale taking in far more than its fair share of immigrants and if so 'WHY'?
I can see the point of 'available housing at the right price' but doesn't that then put an unfair pressure on the available housing stock and available services? Who pays for that?
Given the unemployment and quality jobs in the North West - somebody somewhere has got it drastically wrong.

A lot of the decisions and arrangements, particularly about who lives where, that effect everyday life for huge numbers of people are made 'behind the scenes', effectively in secret. The version the public is told is what they call a 'political narrative'.

A political narrative is not an american breakfast cereal, it's a form of story telling based on myth and deception with a dash of reality enough to make it believeable. Ambitious young writers may start with poorly paid descriptions of consumer goods and services, and move on later to better paid political narrative.

After a spell writing political narrative, speeches and so on, what next? Maybe become a Euro M.P., or run a lap dancing club, not sure what the usual career path is really.
