Election campaigning will resume now. We can expect a lot of emotive and contradictory arguments. Will anyone get 'down to brass tacks'?

No. Because there's not enough 'brass' around. Even for tacks.

It's not a choice is it -? If we are to respect the democratic vote of the people we are now heading towards a negotiated withdrawal from the EU and a leap of faith towards the big wide world (of which we have had previous experience - that is a small number of us - but not enough to have the experience to weather it). That in itself will bring us sufficient 'chaos' for the next ten years without the added 'chaos' of a re-socialisation of our main-stream society. I will repeat my mantra - you don't take a sledgehammer to an acorn cracking party - 'cause all you end up with is dust.

Get the economy back on track - regardless of what it takes (that's ten years gone) and then have a close look at how to socialise our society in order that the trickle-down of capitalism becomes a run-down of social democracy. It can be done, quite successfully, if it is done using intelligence.
