A friend of mine was in it; John Henshaw who played Ken the landlord in 'Early Doors'.

A lovely guy. I met him through bluegrass music.

He once offered to come down to the hospital where I worked to join our picket line. A former binman and keen trade unionist who got into acting by accident.

Granada were filming near his bin depot and asked him to be an extra. When filming was over, someone came up to him, put a business card in his hand and told him to come and see him at the studios. The rest is history.

He lives over in Mosley.
