Anyone watching the expenses abuses on Channel 4 right now?
Where there's a will, there's a way when it comes to claiming expenses it seems.

Where there's a scheme there's always a schemer. You really mustn't expect too much. These are actually 'people'. People do naughty things. Fingers in pies when pies are thrown around and left unattended is not uncommon. Rules can always be manipulated by the 'manipulators' and 'used' to the full advantage when not fully researched upon and tested for their usefulness. Are the present 'rules' fit for purpose. Of course not. Why did you expect they would be? They have been re-jigged by parliament instead of an outside responsible unbiased unit well versed in duplicity and chicanery. MP's. Are they still at it? Of course they are. Nobody's stopping them. Very Happy

The programme took a coach load of people round looking at 1st and 2nd homes and told how MP's claimed for a 2nd home when one only lived 19 miles from Westminster and some within an hours commute.
Then it explained how MP's rented out their homes to other Mp's so they not only got the rental income (paid by taxpayers) they also got rent for where they lived paid as well (also paid for by taxpayers)
Double whammy!

Have they ever stopped on finding ways of getting extra income to claim on expenses! It makes me want to reason why I bother voting for them.

Time to look at changing the rules altogether.
