The Baum: Best pub in Gtr Manchester?

A well-deserved win. Great beer, fab food, decent wine and free Wi-Fi.
Was in there the other lunchtime, had a lovely lunch, a great pint and filed a story on my tablet using the Wi-Fi.
I hate bouncers in pubs but it is very low-key at The Baum and they are so friendly and polite. This pub has got everything spot on.
Best pub in Rochdale in my book and staff are great. Well done.
To be honest, it is the only reason I'd be tempted to go anywhere near the town centre in the evening.
Possible venue for a Rochdale Talk social?

Very well deserved - the only place I'll go in the town centre. My Welsh brother was over last week from Canada with his new Canadian girlfriend who wanted to see an English pub so we went there. They both loved it.

i have never been in the baum so it is something which has to be rectified as soon as possible so glad i have my bus pass now no worries about where to park the car and breathalysers

Been there many times with "do's from the Infirmary" over the years always had excellent service and a fantastic time.

Couldn't agree more. It's been my usual (not close enough to be a "local") for the past 14 years or so. The pubs great, the staff are cool, the beer's kept properly, food is tasty and the clientele are all good - not sure what more you could ask from a public house.
I think the bouncer has the easiest job in Rochdale, in all my time drinking there I think I've seen three fights - and I'd be pushed to even call them fights. I don't think hangbags would cover it...

Not been there for a time but a good pub all the same. Never seen any trouble there and a well deserved award.

Congratulations;
A good atmosphere, interesting people, good food and not too expensive.
According to my daughter The Baum is the safest place to be in Rochdale at a night time (apart from home.)
