Cost of Christmas cake! Empty Cost of Christmas cake!

Went out this morning to buy the ingredients for the Christmas Cakes. Not sure if it is cheaper to buy one than make one these days. Stilll the home made stuff taste so much better. Cannot believe how fast prices are going up.

Supermarket workers are busy with the price labels. The economy is recovering, a housing bubble is underway, consumer confidence is returning, only in London, but that will be reflected in the cost of existing in the north.

As usual it is only getting better for some, the others will bear the brunt and have to manage with it.
There was some 'hidden truth' behind the politician who recently suggested leaving the 'failed' towns to their own devices which would over time correct itself by people moving out to areas of better prospects. This has been happening for aeon's in the rural areas if we take by example East Anglia/Cornwall and rural Wales where most of the kids are told that from leaving school they should aim for 'moving' away if they wish to make a good life for themselves (i.e. money and prospects). These losses are usually made up from older people moving in to retire (which in itself creates big social problems). It's a mad world isn't it?Rolling Eyes
