The criticism of police attitudes towards 'grooming' victims is fair. Police methods, training, attitudes and procedures desperately need to be overhauled and sharpened up to tackle 'grooming' type crime.

However, taking into account all the other crime that Greater Manchester Police have dealt with well in recent years, removing the Chief Constable may not be the best way to get the desired result.

What does matter is public confidence in the police, confidence the police will respond and protect victims of grooming attempts, and protect their friends and families where that is needed. Whatever is the best way to ensure that happens is the best course of action.

The public can help by being aware of what goes on, reporting suspicious activity and situations to the police, and kicking up a fuss if they don't get a suitable response.

Apart from the police, there are other organisations, e.g. providers of privatised 'care homes' for children and teenagers, need investigating under the so called 'Super Inquiry'.

Cyfrifia:          I remind you of just one actuality: -

It was established long ago that the raising of the private care homes issue was an unconvincing smokescreen to divert attention away from the facts, in context of the Rochdale on-street sexual grooming of children and the connected reports /reviews.

There is ample information available on previous media, in past articles and on other forum threads on here, both historic and recent, that refers to facts - rather than to speculation or authoritative attitudes.

Thanks for that reminder, Mojo Hill. Facts tend to be overlooked in the blather of political argument.
Hopefully, this so called super inquiry by MP Ann Coffey will look into things properly.
