Trolleys and Corridors
Some NHS patients have waited over 50 hours on trolleys in corridors in UK hospitals. Why am I not surprised?
Pennine Acute Hospitals Trust has made it into the League of Shame table:

How long are patients waiting on trolleys?
We (Daily Mail) sent Freedom of Information requests to all 173 hospital trusts in the UK with A&E departments. We asked for the longest time a patient waited – from referral by A&E, to being given a bed on a ward. We also asked for the average time a patient waited. Around half the trusts supplied answers to the questions.

Re: Trolleys and Corridors
The downgrading of the NHS is an intentional government ploy, in order to help private care providers. Many of the Government's MPs are going to do very well themselves out of all of this as they are shareholders and or directors etc of these privateers. New Labour snake Peter Mandleson is also someone who will personally benefit from all of this. The Tories have by far the most MPs who will benefit, but the Libs have MPs too that personally benefit too, that's why they CHOSE not to block the government changes to the NHS, as part of the deal to get the alternative vote referendum.

Thought I had been sat for 9 Hours in ward 9 trauma ward TV room at royal Oldham was a long time.
Sat their and after 4 Hours one of the nurses I knew told me their were no beds available, but might be in the morning, asked for some pain killer, all they could give me was parcetamol or codiene, total waste of time got my son to come and pick me up and went to my GP.

Re: Trolleys and Corridors
A chap I know who had an ongoing medical problem went to stay with freinds in France. He had the operation there, and said apart from not having the language, the hospital and treatment was excellent. Makes me wonder if I should do the same and go to France if I get ill.

France spends more per capita/% of GDP on healthcare than we do.
