I see that all Committee appointments, including Township Chair roles, etcetera, are "up" for Leader allocations again next week. ------ Does anyone know how a newly-declared 'Independent' councillor would fit into this mix? -------- Will the elected powers that be take any future actions that respects previous community dismay about some appointments ?

£ It says The Leader is further establishing roles of Assistant to Portfolio Holder roles and proposes that these new Assistant roles be allocated a Special Responsibility Allowance, and accompanying status to Portfolio Holders.

Am told that there are likely to be a few changes. I have a personal but very secret wish-list which is likely to prove highly inaccurate.

Wonder if there will be any significant changes on Rochdale Township Planning? There certainly needs to be at least two.

Some very poor chairing on various other committees with 'total lack of ability' not being any disadvantage whatsoever. I fear that many appointments will be made on the basis of political considerations and patronage rather than on talent.

Wasn't it ever thus... in ALL The parties!

I hope Terry Linden gets something worthy of his significant talents and capacity for sheer hard work.
