And pigs might fly...
Interesting day yesterday...
As I was eating my cornflakes, Mrs H asked me what my plans were for the day. I told her that I was popping into the RO office and was then going to The Baum for lunch where I had been invited by a blonde, female friend whose identity must remain confidential but who is believed to have led a revolt of Roman slaves in 73 BC.
"Oh yes," responded a world-weary Mrs H. "And pigs might fly..."
Well, I went into the office, did a bit or work and then met up with my friend in The Baum where we had a lovely lunch and I had two pints; one of 'Uranus' and the other being 'Old Git' and we went our respective ways after putting our little corner of the world to rights.
As I headed out up to Owd Bett's through Norden, I suddenly had cause to reflect upon Mrs H's churlish comment about flying pigs. As I was opposite Nutter's, I was amazed to see a gorgeous young wild boar, covered in black bristles trotting down the pavement having presumably escaped from a farm higher up. The poor thing looked terrified of all the traffic and I continued on my journey hoping that some kind soul rescued it and saved it from it's inevitable fate.
So Mrs H, pigs may not fly but they do occasionally flee... SO THERE!

Piggies are the most gorgeous of farm animals. So nice to see so many living free range now although the bottom end of the market doesn't bear thinking about.
