I will be out working for RO till late evening on various assignments and projects so t'will be late before I am able to slake my thirst. I will be knackered and browbeaten when I get in having attended a fairly tedious council sub-committee.

Got quite a few cards; a bottle of 16-year old Lagavulen, a very politically-incorrect mug, some Czech beer and a pair of silver hinged mussel shells for nipping out the fleshy bits in moules marinieres. (Pretentious... moi?)

Various nice texts and messages from friends and some who just think they are plus I was wined and regally dined on Saturday at Stubbin Wharf, one of my favourite eateries as part of my treat by my Fab Friends.

No doubt when I walk into the RO office today they will have something small and expensive for me?

BTW, I was born at 03.20 on Mat 1 at Birch Hill.

I hope that's real cream in there Sparks not that cheap synthetic stuff. I know what you Heywood cheapskates are like. Tinned tomatoes in the Spag Bol and Mellow Birds instead of Blue Mountain etc.

And don't even think of getting those trick candles that won't blow out. I haven't got the puff any more.

Anyway, my day has got better. Been asked out to lunch with two ladies other than my wife plus I am meeting a 'mystery blonde' on Thursday who assures me that she is 'a reasonable woman from Hell'

Things are looking up methinks.
