I see our local MP wants to debate with people over a cup of tea and a cake as reported on Rochdale Online.

I don't know the man - and I'm too far away - and no longer a resident of the fair town. However - it does no harm to cultivate contacts.  You might illicit his good graces by being friendly - even if you're not. Every little helps.Wink

He's been doing it for a while. Seems a good thing to do.

Im all for debate etc. But what happens after the cake been eaten. plates washed and cups put away? What does Simon do with all the comments etc. Does he then go forth to all the areas where comments have been made and uses that information to improve said areas? Brings issues up in Parliament?

Can anyone shed any light?
