In my opinion an adult female choosing freely to adopt one is a completely different animal to a child being raised to wear one.

There seems to have been a lack of local media coverage regarding this event.

Children spread coughs, colds and infections to adults more than the other way round. It could be a good idea to trap those germs in a burka. Depends how often they are washed and on what setting. Low energy cool washes don't get hot enough to sterilise fabrics.

As with so many things, if and how they are portrayed in the media is influential. Burkas are being popularised among children by the animated TV series

In practice it is down to parents to decide how best to dress their children.
