Re: LAST resolve
The term railway relates to the whole of transportation i.e. tracks, stations, rolling stock, etc. A train is a means of conveyance upon the railway lines. The train was pulled by a locomotive.

Ah Ah! Strange trend indeed. The lesser Apper At Chick, usually spotted before local elections. Snipes from the cover of the party. Insults anyone not towing the line. Will break cover nearer May.

Very long artificial nails - elaborately decorated and painted.
These emerged from a celebrity trend and now seem to be ‘ trending ’ ageless, expensively elaborate, cross gender and even ‘arted’ on to some domestic animals’ nails !
A worrying item for LAST, that prevents a wearer from cooking, cleaning and undertaking any tasks that may lead to ‘ a ’ costly false nail loss; scary stuff ….

Should never be decried. Whilst they play with their toys they are not up to any more stupid antics.Prudence Tempered wrote:Poppyanna555 wrote:Am I missing something?....what IS wrong with using the term 'train station'?I think it's a 'boys with toys' thing.
If it's not broken - don't try to repair it.

I would have thought that under current circumstances PT could best be described as 'Ronin'

Well this boy isn't giving up any of his toys, not my banjo, digital piano, harmonicas. steam locomotive, electric train sets, home-brewing gear, four ham radio sets, radio scanners, astronomical telescope, camera, tarot cards, kites, radio-controlled aeroplane, kayak, stamp collection etc etc ad infinitum.
Am also a voracious reader and writer. God knows how I ever found the time to work and get through college!

People who say "yourself" when they mean "you".
As in placing an order for a jacket with Cotton Traders to be told, "Your payment's gone through now and we will be posting the item out to yourself within three working days."

Re: LAST resolve
People who stand in doorways, usually talking broken biscuits, with the door wide open while those of us inside get the full blast of cold air.
Drivers who drive through 2 large blue ‘trams only’ signs, over the pavement, through a pedestrian track crossing and through the platforms of a tram stop, and the police do nothing saying the driver was confused! See MEN 2 Mondays ago. Trams are big and yellow and if they are getting bigger they are approaching you, bit like buses and for that matter all other traffic in the UK. Heaven help us pedestrians if a tram makes these stupid sods confused.

Re: LAST resolve
Call me old-fashioned but whatever happened to 100%?
Maybe its just the Olympics but I'm sick of hearing about people who give 110% or even 200%.
They interviewed a skier today who had allegedly given 110% but came in 7th for Crissakes!
What percentage would she have had to give to get a medal?
