Council Chief Executive Jim Taylor
Well 2 years and now jumping ship, wonder what his pay increase will be at his new position?
I wonder what exactly he did do for Rochdale?

The Manchester Evening News said his new pay was going be £150,000 pa. And he gets a new job title of "Council Director".

So all that fuss over his pay rise for nothing ! He didn't last long did he ?

As one man coming into RMBC, he would need to rely on the information he was ' fed ' by local agency and Service officers, directors and the Leader of the Council. What a menu !

Good Luck to him - at least he's not past his own Sell By Date
- Back at the ranch, comments mooted about a chance for new "leadership" in the borough and changes could well raise questions at least about Cllr Lambert's own future position.

Well you would jump from Rochdale to Salford if you were him, wouldn't you? Good luck to him

Well let's face it. He's in good company. There isn't a single day goes by now without some incompetent, negligent, haven't learned lessons, pillock hitting the screens or the air waves and usually someone who is being paid stupid, exorbitant monies for their 'expertise'. We have produced a set of arrogant useless tw*** who have gotten by with their mouths and baggy trousers and we've fallen for their smart mealy mouthed ways. At one time you found the odd one or two amongst the groups of civil service/local service officials. Now it's the other way around. They were never the smartest or most useful of the bunch - but today - words fail to explain it all?

Jim has been an excellent CEO. Open, honest, engaging. A pleasure to work with and miles away from the style of Roger Ellis. Good luck to him.
The furore over his pay was not of his making.

Well, good. The idea of appointing government ministers, chief executives, managers and so on who have little or no knowledge of whatever it is they are in charge of is a strange way to go on, apparently a peculiarly British way of doing things.
