Is it just me?
My niece is visiting here at the moment. She is the owner of an Employment Agency in Oldham. Her 'take' on the mind-set of those she has moving through her business is that their are two different types of people resident in the region. Those that see work as an essential part of their life and those that see work as something one does when one gets bored or a bit strapped for cash. A large percentage think that 'work' is a finite consistency. Something along the lines of 3 or 4 days comprising of a maximum of 6 hours a day????? And that to be expected to do more is an affront to their dignity????
Is it just me? Or am I living in another dimension???

We have a strange attitude to work in the UK. There's literally no work/life balance just work, work, work in most organisations.
