Rochdale for marriage

Had a leaflet today headed ROCHDALE FOR MARRAIGE. Asking people to contact their local MP to stop redefining marriage and that it is undemocratic. Gives a lot of statements for people to think about.

At the bottom of the leaflet gives an email address and a contact address in London, no phone number. Another heading at the bottom of the leaflet calling itself Coalition For Marriage.

Anyone else had this leaflet in Rochdale. It also has a written statement that many gay people oppose redefining marriage.

Also that Simon Danczuck MP has a picture of him on the leaflet.

What do you think about the statements made on the leaflet if you have seen it and your opinion of it?

I've not seen it myself but I don't have any problems with gay people getting married. I can see how religious people may have concerns what with their dependance on ancient texts written in another time and world, but not other people.

Hinch I have still got the leaflet if you want it. I could drop it off at Rochdale Online over the weekend unless you want it sooner.

That is if no one else has given you a leaflet all already.

Good question that Dale Lad. Just leave everybody to their own I suppose I never married in a church. I married at the Rochdale register office.

The Gay community who seem to argue about Gays being married in a church are either not Christian or not church goers anyway. That is the people who I come across in the media etc.

If there are Gay Christians who want to marry in the Church who are at odds over the issue with their local church up and down the country.

Then they could take on the many churches that are not in use anymore and just being left empty and take on the old building for their own use.

I am sure their are many Gay priest etc who are at odds with their church leaders with the issue but they could start a separate branch of the church if they wish to do that.

I think just let everyone to do their own thing.
