Anti-Virus protection

What is the best product for anti-virus or firewall protection on the market at the moment? I have had a reminder from AVG that I am due for renewing in the next few weeks. Though I not seen good reports at the moment about AVG.
I am being careful after my problems with TALKTALK and checking products and companies before I decide if I should stay with them or not.

AVAST seems to do the job well and is free too.

They also do a version for your android.

There is no need to pay.

Yes, I have used Avast for about 3 years now for free. I used to use pay for PANDA but I found it a bit too keen at times making it difficult to access certain reputable sites.
