Admin - virus warning!
I am frequently picking up warnings (last seven days) of unsafe web-site and quarantining virus from the site.
Shouldn't you 'scrub' it to be on safe side????

If you use Firefox as your browser then you can use Add Blocker it is surprising how much rubbish it stops.
I also do not have any warnings, I use AVAST and have done so for many years.
Don't you just love all this FREE software!

No! I hate ad blockers because without adverts sites like this (and RO) couldn't exist.

I thought you might say that!
It also seems to make pages load faster as the are not loading loads of adverts.
You can also set Firefox to BLOCK pop-ups.
Also Adblock plus to disable tracking With every browsing session, there are multiple firms tracking your online activity and browsing history. There are hundreds of ad agencies tracking your every move, but with Adblock Plus you can easily disable all tracking, and browse the web truly anonymously.

I use those too, Keith. Makes a huge difference. Also a cookie exploder.
I've no problem with stationary ads that are not targeted directly at me. I object strongly to targeted ads, especially flash ones and websites snooping on me.

No warnings or interruptions on tonight's show. Well not so far anyway -!
I take all the advice above but if I, with my level of expertise, made any efforts towards messing with the intricate balance of my large box residing at my elbow I am sure it would end in disaster. You have to remember, all you whiz-kids out there, they were still flying bi-planes when I was a kid and the nearest we had to technology was a cat's whisker wireless.

I'm in the same boat as you Atlas, once downloaded (what I thought was) a security programme only to have it there ALL the time, couldnt delete it, couldnt uninstall it.
My son had to take all the stuff off I wanted to keep and then wipe the hard drive and re-load it...still trying to get used to the new version, its not been a full week yet so here's hoping

I've tried wiping my hard-drive with that there Cillit-Bang. Bloody thing started sparkin' at me. I'm not going anywhere near it in future. It can sit there and get dirty.
