Not the brothel, but a brothel. How many brothels are there in Rochdale? It would be a little bit surprising if there were no links, either past or present, between a Rochdale brothel and both 'grooming' and drugs. Smile

I have removed Cyfrifia's post which links to a site which publicises/advertises brothels. This is testing Moderation a bit too far.

Let's remember people that this is an industry that survives by the use of violence against women, paedophilia, drug addiction, slavery and worse.

I have no objection the the situation being discussed but I will not tolerate posts that may inadvertently lead others to give this vile trade extra business.

I also removed 2 other posts that refer to it. Nobody has been suspended as I think that there was no harm intended.

However - - - If there were such establishments under proper legislation and governmental control that paid taxes etc as any other ordinary business would then perhaps we might take away a large percentage of the vile trade and criminality as thus described and save our over-pressed police forces much wasted effort. It's not rocket science - just prejudice and religious bunkum. Wink

I had been living in my house for 7 years before a lady from a Housing Association informed me there was one about 15 houses away. I must admit they were very discrete non of us knew.

There are supposed to be at least three in Rochdale plus there are many other 'happy houses where you can get sex from 'enthusiastic amateurs for a bottle of voddie and a few readies. Rosemary West operated like this with the local police being fully aware of it and entitled to discount rates.

Years ago, there was an obliging pub landlord who reputedly let rooms out by the hour in order to supplement his bar-takings.

This sort of thing has always gone on. It isn't called 'the world's oldest profession' for nothing.

Massage parlours, escorts services and lap-dancing clubs often offer 'introductions' or a range of 'extras' although not being brothels in the formal sense.

As for what you can find locally on t'internet, the range is mind-boggling with 'Milfs' being particularly blatant and numerous.

It's all around you and likely to increase as changes to the benefits system starting to kick in.
