We are surrounded with a lot of clever chemicals. Many have been banned or controlled, but the determination of industry and consumerism to devise, produce and sell them has it's effects. Without regulation and control for clean air and water etc. in place, it would be a much worse situation.

The effect of the environment, social, acoustic, hormonal, chemical on the unborn baby is formative. It doesn't take much, like smoking, alcohol, drugs and chemicals, to interfere with natural process and do some damage.
