I see the Bury binmen are to be issued with iPads at a cost of £9K. What a great way to get rid of all that spare dosh floating around in the council coffers.

They will be able to log onto eBay from the comfort of their cabs and sell off any high-value garbage they find on their rounds and order their lunches online.

Gatherers of recyclable material to help combat climate change, or

Waste disposal officers or Waste disposal operatives, or

Sanitary technicians, or

Waste Management Facilitators, or

Toxic Crusaders  Very Happy Very Happy   , or

Domestic Refuse Officers …..

Don't be silly MJH. Cash Generator have an excellent scheme for recycling iPads, mobile phone, PS3s and other high tech stuff.

Using Google Earth, they'd be able to locate Poppy's rubbish piles in no time.

Well there was Black Spot all over a rather splendid specimen of decorative foliage in the garden, so I thought, Mmm … it needs some really hefty fungicide spray treatment.        The instructions said: ‘Don’t spray in a breeze or when rain is due.’    The rest is history  .  The spray blew back strongly in my face, deep inhalations were inevitable, it started to rain hard and I admit that I have been a bit “silly” ever since.  cyclops     Sleep

They put a sticker on my son's brown bin and ticked "It was to heavy" and that "there was stones/bricks in it" SO REFUSED TO EMPTY HIS BIN!
I can assure them there isn't any stones or bricks in his garden waste  bin and offered to stand there whilst they looked at it mmmm no reply as yet !!!

We had a cardboard/paper bin left last time, no reason.
This seems to happen regularly, it makes me wonder if its worth continuing to recycle if its not taken.
There was a note left on the handle of the plastic/glass/tin bin to say no carrier bags, the bags that were in there state on them that they are bio-degradable and can be recycled, I think we may have a new team on the round.

I guess it doesn't matter if the bags are biodegradable if the instruction is 'no plastic bags' though. They won't help at the recycling centre as they will just get in the way of the sorting process, which, I guess, will be set up to deal with bottle and tins.

Well, the same bin has been emptied today ...along with the recyclable carrier bags AND the cardboard one they didnt take last time.
