Re: UKIP commonwealth spokesman led kidnap gang
A strange tale, that takes some un-ravelling. It seems to be -
June 2004, in Pakistan, an armed gang led by Mujeeb Bhutto kidnapped Ahmed Naeem, son of wealthy businessman Mohammed Naeem.
Five days later Mujeeb Bhutto flew to England, and telephoned Mohammed Naeem to demand a ransom.
"I have the power to give you such torture that you won't forget it for the rest of your life," Majeebur Bhutto said to Mohammed Naeem, and threatened to have Ahmed Naeem's head cut off and sent to his father.
£56,000 ransom was delivered to a car park at Manchester Arndale shopping centre, and later found hidden in Majeebur Bhutto's bed in a house in Leeds.
Following his arrest by Greater Manchester Police, Mujeeb Bhutto was jailed for seven years in 2005 by a UK court.
Other members of the kidnap gang were tried and executed in Pakistan for the crime.
Majeebur Bhutto was released from jail in 2011 and now lives in the UK.

Not really a strange tale, Cy. More a tale of criminals doing criminal things, getting caught and paying the price. An everyday story these days, with our 24 hour access to news.

Re: UKIP commonwealth spokesman led kidnap gang
It seems strange that the UK lets in international criminals, keeps them in prison here for a while, then gives them free run of the place. Do we really want kidnapping, beheading and torturing geezers walking round the streets? It may be, as you say Dalelad, an everyday story.
The logic of it was to some extent explained by the judge who said "You came to the UK to avoid the risk of detection in Pakistan, where kidnapping is a capital offence."
