If a tunnel is 49 kilometres long and a man walks 48.5 kilometres. Will he see the light and is it fair to shoot him?

A remarkable effort by this migrant, to evade security and walk through the chunnel, which could be recognised, perhaps with a small enamel badge.

No, I have no idea, but it's obviously nothing to do with stopping people walking through the tunnel.

It's the same reason the BBC is also under the auspices of the MoD and why the government don't want to lose their 'hold' on the licensing etc.

In times of national emergency both will be overseen by the MoD. BBC for national broadcasting and the Chunnel for demolition (as a last resort) to stop it being used for ingress. (A lone walker would have been 'noted' and information passed to local authorities at this end).

Nothing is 'ever' what it seems. Don't underestimate the powers that be - that would be a grave mistake.
