Coughs and sneezes spread diseases

Europe is warned it must set up a co-ordinated system to screen and treat refugees for diseases. Refugees bring with them diseases of different varieties, often having to travel through many different countries, staying in conditions where diseases spread.

What chance of Europe doing anything co-ordinated? With the NHS under pressure and anti-biotics becoming less effective, it doesn't look too healthy really.

The chances of Europe doing anything co-ordinated or within a reasonable time period are about as good as getting a manned rocket to Alpha Centura in under 10,000 years. IT WON'T HAPPEN. IT CANNOT HAPPEN. And the reason being - too many cooks, too many different ingredients and everyone wanting their finger in the pie and their bit of the proceeds. It's a nonsense to even broach the possibility. The only way to stay that sort of a scenario is to stop the spread at source - before the catastrophe happens. And I doubt that will happen either. In fact I will put money on it not happening in time. United we stand - Divided we fall - applies only within one's own cultural unit. IT DOES NOT APPLY TO JUST ANYBODY FROM ANYWHERE. The only scenario for that application is invasion from another planet's inhabitants or a species that has no conscience but that for its own survival - Ebola or Martians to name but two. Let's get real. These bloody tree hugging Liberals will be the downfall of humanity just as surely as Genghis Khan was only kidding.

I'll drink to that. Germany would love we leave the EU and return to her the control she had before we joined. France would love we leave because they don't like us very much -(but then the French don't like anyone very much anywhere). Both would loath to see us depart because we are providing a large chunk of the dosh needed to support the other flagging 24. So we can't do right for doing wrong. Both would loath we leave because it might cause a domino effect on other countries less than enamoured with the whole set-up and - Ooops - Crash. Dearie me.
As for ourselves I prefer W.C's remarks after Dunkirk - "Now at least we are alone to make our own way and our own mistakes without the compliant groveling to other governments. Now will OUR mettle be tested for what we are, or not, as the case may be".
