Hello, good morning and welcome, as Sir David Frost would say.

Sadly, Rochdale Online has closed its forums leaving us with no home to go to so we thought we'd set this up in the spirit of the RO forums which have given pleasure to so many people over the years.

We hope to meet old friends and new so please add this to your favourites menu.

Please read the rules carefully. Most of them are commonsense. We will not tolerate bullying or intimidation but we do aim to encourage a bit of heated debate.

This forum is moderated but we aim to have a very light touch. Please enjoy yourselves and use us regularly. Things may be slow to start with and we will be playing around with the design.

I think that the RO forums had it just about right. I thought that perhaps the Mods were a bit heavy-handed at times but I suppose these things are a tough call.

I hope we get a good mix of threads. Nostalgia, entertainment, banter with hopefully not too much politics which did tend to take over sometimes.

I really hope that we attract a good few former RO posters. I was a member for quite a few years and made some solid friendships off it.

I'm new to all this so not sure how it works.
