Have had a couple of invitations to follow two Twitter accounts in the past three days. One of them appears to come from a business or perhaps business-based source which appears to be seeking Tweets that put Rochdale in a positive light.

The other one is a strange one and invites people to report what it calls 'suspicious behavior'. Some of its Tweets seem harmless enough and warn people of mobile speed traps on Albert Royds Street but it seems to be set up by some darker elements of the knuckle-dragging variety for some political purpose.

Have any other posters seen them? Am not going to give out any hash-tags

Never Tweet or Twit. Wouldn't know how. Can barely mode mi' watch. Don't do mobile phones either. Blithering nuisance.
Your post however intrigues me - . How would you know they may be darker elements. And why ask about suspicious behavior then tell you about 'speed traps'. Isn't that counterproductive - canceling each other out ?? confused

Quite easy to tell Atlas. Starts off with a few harmless tweets and then becomes more interested in becoming a platform for those expressing concerns re grooming, illegal immigration, suspected terrorists, benefit fraud etc but only targetting a particular section of the community.

If you see some 'suspicious behavior' then either mind your own business or ring the dibble. Why just use Twitter to spread it?

After going on FaceBook I was getting loads of messages from people who wanted to be a friend who I did not know. I put a stop to it but my email box still got over loaded with messages. I only went on to find out something. Some of the messages left a lot to be desired. Never again.
