Grand Forum Operetta
Whilst sharing a reflective Digestive (glass of red wine really)with Matron in Portugal I came over all Gilbert and Sullivan. Thought soon progressed to members of this much reduced forum and I began ‘casting’ for a Grand Rochdale Forum Operetta.
As is the way with these things I take it upon myself to allocate members along the lines of their scribblings on here and have cast:-
The Mikado; making punishment fit the crime.
The Lord High Executioner; He’s got a little list.
Modern Major General; in matters animal, vegetable etc.
Ruler of the Queens Navy’ polishing the handle on the big front door.
3 Little (or not so) Maids from School’ 1 little maid is Yum Yum Etc.
The Pirate King; for all his faults he loves his Queen.
Sweet Little Buttercup; where is Tinkerbelle by the way?
Go on let me have your guesses and more castings.

And I've got one or two on my list so I guess I'd better be Ko-Ko, Lord High Executioner.

And of course, Tinkerbell is on record as offering quayside blandishments to sailors at HMS Middleton's homecoming last year so Buttercup she most truly is.
