5 year old April abducted

A 46 year old man has been arrested in connection to little April's abduction in Wales ! (Seems he is a known paedophile)

This is just every parents worst nightmare little April hasn't yet been found the police are searching nearby rivers, pray to god she is safe.

What are we becoming when our little ones are denied play at risk of these evil perverts

This is so awful.Words cannot express the sickness I feel as a parent and grandparent.

Heartbreaking.

Me too Ann just beyond words all we can do is pray for little April but it doesn't look good .

Unbelievable.Yes, I will be thinking of her and hope and pray she will be found safe and well.

Kids should be safe at ALL times and like Hinch I shall make an exception on the praying front for little April. But it is getting dark at 7pm when she was taken, I tell my nearly 12 yr old to be by dusk, or at least on the cul de sac we live on.

A 46 year old man was arrested yesterday afternoon and is being questioned.
What is worrying is volunteer searchers were being turned away this morning, and told to wait for more instructions.
The search continued overnight and the reason for turning away the volunteers has been given as safety grounds.

I'd like to know where the 'knowledge' the man is a paedophile has come from. Reports describe him as a friend of the family.

And by the way, will the gutter media be prosecuted (in the wake of Levison) for prejudicing his right to a fair trial?

Agree with John. The press and media should report FACTS on such issues, and let the professionals do the investigating. I hope the man sues the media responsible, IF it turns out he is not a paedophile, and hope they get prosecuted if their reporting stops or prevents justice from being served in any way.

I too will be doing the praying bit. Like SB I asked the question what is a child so young doing out when it is dark? I grew up in Manchester in the 196os when Brady and Hindley were doing their worst. My parents were paranoid like countless others. I didn't play out in the dark even in what some would consider safer times.

The police say April needs her medication or she will be in pain. I know a lot is wrong with the world and there is a lot of suffering, but like very many other people, I will be praying and hoping for April to be found.
