Parking fines

Anyone know anything about appealing a parking ticket for an overstay of 7 minutes?
Any info/help greatly appreciated
There is a discrepancy on the ticket envelope with a wrong date from the one on the actual ticket, I dont know if this is of any worth or not.

I would start with the department that issued the ticket. Is there a number you can ring printed on it?

I was just trying to help someone else who was 7 minutes late after forgetting her keys, by the time she went back for the keys she had overstayed by 7 minutes and the ticket was already on the car... traffic warden must have waited for her to walk away from the car.
