There's no taste like home
Tomorrow at 10.25am on ITV the programme is in Rochdale with Gino D'Acampo, each week 3 amateur chefs cook a family favourite dish to serve in a restaurant and at the end of the show Gino chooses one of the dishes to be on the menu for a month.
The dishes tomorrow are
steak and cow heel pie
fish and chips with a twist
and French quiche
It doesn't say on the tv guide which restaurant it will be.

It was a bit disappointing in that there wasn't a cook from Rochdale on the programme, one was from the Fleetwood area, one from Chorlton and the other from Ramsbottom.

Re: There's no taste like home
Have to say that my own favorite restaurant in the area is the Fishermans Retreat just 10 minutes from Nutters over the border in Shuttleworth.
Runs rings round Nutters in terms of price, quality, choice of wines, whiskys and beers and the panoramic views from the new dining room at sunset are amazing. The service and welcome from the Magnall family is fantastic.
We also like the White House but always seem to bump into assorted Tinkerbells, JohnB's and their young goblins when we go there.

Agree with you there Hinch re: Fishermans Retreat had some great meals there.
Nutters is overpriced slop that would not fill up a mouse.
Anyway rant over looking forward to meeting up and putting faces to posts.

Re: There's no taste like home
Visited Nutters for the first time about 4 years ago, never had the urge to return as I was very disappointed with the meal. My son had been a couple of weeks earlier and was most impressed so, we all went together and he too felt it was a let down. Maybe there had been a turn around of chefs?!
