I witnessed an incident about 18 months ago where the fire service had to rescue someone stuck in mud, but that was when the lake had been drained to some extent for works, I don't know where anyone could step into mud there now but .... you never know?

It sed to be my Auntie Annie Horler's farm in years gone by. Happy memories of playing in the fields. They had a large double-seater outdoor pail-closet so that you could share those intimate moments.

A man enjoying a relaxing mud bath at Syke Farm was interrupted by the fire brigade.
He said, "It took a while to mix the mud to the right consistency, I got in and started to relax when the firemen dragged me out. I thought they had come about the scented candles. When tried to explain it was to create an ambiance, they must have misheard me. "
