Probable fuel price rise in the budget
In response to calls for him to not put fuel tax up in the budget, George Osbourne is saying that if it wasn't for him, prices would already be higher. His reasoning is that he hasn't already put prices up.
Is this like him wanting thanks for our continued existence because he hasn't already shot us?

Re: Probable fuel price rise in the budget
It's the economics of the lunatic asylum. Result - less tax revenue as people stop unnecessary journeys, get rid of second cars - less car purchases and the price of deliveries etc escalate putting the price of everything up. Total and utter madness. The man and his cohorts are idiots. If they want to do something useful they should stop fannying around with the bankers and the tax avoiders - result 50 billion extra a year then there would be no need to hike fuel taxation. Pillocks.
