The increasing number of Muslims being held in UK jails is causing concern with 43% of inmates in one prison being Muslim according to the Independent.

The broad consensus of opinion is that we need to build more and bigger jails, and longer sentences.

Perhaps some of these new prisons should include domes and minarets?

Not forgetting 'perceptions' and theories about discrimination against males per se. There are, allegedly, 85,252 people in prisons and YOIs in England and Wales. The male prison population is 81,357 and the female prison population is 3,895.
