Might as well be, with all the sh*t that's in it. But certainly toilet roll is much more useful. And lets have less of the product advertising.

Tissue of lies? Now you are talking about the "local" paper,or The Sun, or the political leaflets that come through my door.
Andrex is very good, but Morrison's own tissues are good enough and far cheaper. I do like the Andrex adverts with the puppies.

I bet the Andrex dogs find their roles very absorbing.

And UTD, sorry to be a pedant but Rochdale Online is just two words and hence abreviated to RO not ROL!

Sorry about that J. I knew RO was two words but for some reason I keep typing it as 3 words when abbreviating it.
Mind you it's good free advertising for RO.

About the Christmas Night Out. What I read in the newsletter and the above statement. What is all that about?
Not really the spirit of Christmas is it.

Charly.
I hope people enjoy themselves but just find it rather odd and the sort of thing you hear from a childrens playground.

Yes. Comes as a surprise doesn't it teamplayer2? However. You need to get out more and see the 'real' world for what it really is. I've spent over 30 years trying to combat that sort of childish mentality and - I've failed.
Do you know what a camel is? It's a horse put together by a committee. That's how impossible it is for 'some' people to look beyond their own pet hang-ups and accept the world and its people for what they really are - still children. But it is easier to hang-on in there when that realisation comes to pass. Fair fortune.

Have no worries Teamplayer. In your case, 11 people cancelled when they found out you WEREN'T going!
As for the spirit of Christmas, I strongly suspect that some of those going may not actually be practising Christians and just out for a fun, relaxing evening with great food, plenty of drinkie-poos and convivial company. Shocking I know.
The invitation was an open one. Quite frankly, I don't give a toss who comes and who doesn't. I count those that are there, not those who aren't.
In my book, the spirit of Christmas comes in a bottle, is 40% proof or higher and is preferably aged for at least 12 years unless it is particularly skillfully blended.
Come on Teamplayer, it's about time you started one of your usual threads to get us all in the party mood. Choose from one of the following tiitles:-
1. Snubbed by neighbours.
2. Call this Christian behaviour!
3. Vulnerable snubbed again!
4. Uncaring Christians!
5. Discrimination against mentally ill.
6. Snubbed again!
7. Is this a true Christian!
8. Jesus snubbed by own Father whilst dying on cross!
9. Snubbed yet again by neighbours!
10. Snubbed by Security Guard in Shopping Centre!
Remember the 4 'P's':- 'Perfect People Post Positively! Make it your motto.

Lets get this right, if people are bored of reading someone's posts on here, like some are of mine, and I am of some, why would they want to spend a night out with them.
There are MANY reasons why people might not choose to go, money shortage, not liking the place, other things to do, etc etc.

Re: Read the latest Newsletter posted January 26th 2014
Quite right UTD. I, myself am normally a cuddly, affable, sweet-natured chap who gets on with everyone. However, movie-buffs will recall my own particulary bloody encounter with Private Pile in 'Full Metal Jacket'.
Unfortunately, Stanley Kubrick, the director, took a little too much artistic license and had that idiot Pile shooting ME in the godamned heads instead of me killing HIM! As if!!!!
Luckily, the USMC took a rightfully dim view of Pile's insubordination and it was put down to a normal suicide brought on by stress and crass incompetence.
Anyway, Teamplayer, as usual, paints himself as Mr Reasonable here but I note that he has never yet attended a function at which Wilf, Kanny or Muggins appear. I would rather nail my tadger to the flagstaff and sing three verses of 'Semper Fi, Do or Die' rather than break bread with any of them if I'm honest.
On a more serious note, what's with all this Christmas Spirit malarkey? Are we all supposed to go into hugging mode every December? What's that all about? (Rhetorical.)

None at all. Just Teamplayer trying to manufacture one.

Don't push it.
We're not going to have a re-run of your antics on RO. My fuse is decidedly shorter than theirs.
